Melbourne's AC/DC Lane Hit With Fiery Blaze
June 5, 2008Tom Arup of TheAge.com.au reports: Tomorrow's all-ages gig in AC/DC Lane [in Melbourne, Australia] featuring Melbourne punk band THE LIVING END will go ahead despite the fiery blaze that hit buildings in the laneway last night.
Fans could only get tickets to the private show through a competition on youth radio station Triple J.
THE LIVING END plan to film the concert for a DVD.
Concerns about the cancellation of the gig arose when a fire broke out in offices on the first floor of a building on the corner of Flinders Lane and AC/DC Lane.
Iconic Melbourne bar Cherry was water damaged due to the fire but could reopen as early as next week. Cherry was going to be used as the green room for the Living End.
